A handmade bench covered in frost that I stumbled on one fine day in the forest I grew up beside. It's for Al; someone who obviously passed away.
Nikon N80
Nikkor 50mm F1.8
Shot at F1.8, 1/16
Agfa APX 400 (Strangely, the grain is quite tight compare to the other images from the roll)
This is a FILM image, shot, developed and scanned by myself. I did a fair bit of post-work to get rid of dust and scratches, but it's not a photomanipulation.
Sepia tones, strong imagery, good balance of blur and focus; gives the image more direction and establishes the overall focus of the photo. I like the amount of snow, although this isn't controlled it most certainly adds to it, the feel of saddness, but elation in the photo.
Beautiful clean up on the photo, I personally have nothing against using PS to clean up a bad scanner or low quality digital camera.

Haven't been around in a long time, but you know, procrastinating from essays....
This is beautiful man. What forest?
You did an impressive job with removing scratches, because I see none, in any case I did, I think they would suite quite nicely anyways. It has that rustic feel. Awesome.
wow...this is beautiful, its so classically stunning.
the grain is really poignant to the image, it really enhances its nostalgic feel.
i love the blurry trees in the background.

Depth of field . One of the most utterly fantastic things about having an SLR. Took me the longest of anything so far to figure out too >.<
Whenever you get a chance, if you ever decide to do street or low-light photography, a 50mm F1.8 (or F1.4) lens will get you that similar blurry background.
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
